Hurrah! Marketing

Hurrah! Marketing had an outdated website that needed some major help in time for a huge convention. Hurrah! is a representation firm for creative companies. Their existing site featured clients with links to videos. They needed a site that they'd be able to maintain on their own. Most importantly, their site needed to be as representative of their creative clients.

Web Development, Custom CMS, User Experience - Hurrah! Marketing had an outdated website that needed some major help in time for a huge convention. Hurrah! is a representation firm for creative companies. Their existing site featured clients with links to videos. They needed a site that they'd be able to maintain on their own. Most importantly, their site needed to be representative of their creative clients: modern, fresh, and creative.
Screenshot of their existing site.- Client came to me with a visual design already created. My role was to develop the site following their comps by the following week.Main requirements were:
- media spots needed to be linked to videos. At first, they wanted the videos to display in an overlay. From a UX perspective, this is not ideal for sharing (no unique URLs), nor for responsive design (overlays would be difficult in mobile devices), nor for general web accessibility.
- follow their visual design comps
The site was up and running by end of week 1 with basic images and content. By end of week 3, the videos were hosted on Vimeo and embedded on the site. Site was completed to their satisfaction in time for a major conference. Client was able to use their site to demonstrate their services to prospective clients. The site was developed using Drupal.
Wireframe showing the various iterations.
R1 was to get their site out the door first with images. 1 week
R2 tackled their requirement to link to videos. We had to seek third-party video hosting via Vimeo. weeks 2 and 3
R3 included refactor work for allowing them to add clients on their own. 3 days
Visual design comps by Patty Ferruzza.
